On 9 September 2024, the IMT-GT National Secretariats of Indonesia, Malaysia, and Thailand, together with the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the Centre for IMT-GT Subregional Cooperation (CIMT), convened to ensure smooth coordination for the 30th IMT-GT Ministerial Meeting and Related Meetings in Johor Bahru, Malaysia. The discussions covered logistical arrangements, substantive preparations, and key topics to be addressed and presented during the upcoming sessions. The meeting was chaired by the Honourable Dr. Mohd Shaharin bin Umar (NS Malaysia) and attended by Mr. Irfan Adithiya Permadi (NS Indonesia), Ms. Pojjanaporn Krichtitayawuth (NS Thailand), and Mr. Gary Krishnan (ADB).
